Tips
Tips About Airport Operations and Customs that must be learned to fly into China.

In China, ground handling and aviation fuel services are usually high-quality, particularly at major destinations. With steady increases of business aviation activity to China and a growing locally based fleet, recent investments have been made in support of infrastructure. Aviation fuel credit can now be arranged across the country. Just a few years ago, there were no Fixed Based Operators (FBOs) or General Aviation Terminals (GATs) in China, but now there are severals. Many of these FBOs and GATs may have the appearance of an airline terminal, but services are generally excellent. We expect to see continued improvement in General Aviation (GA) infrastructure.

Work together with an efficient and qualified aircraft ground handler

Working with experienced local ground handler will ensure a smooth trip to China. Remember that if there is no proper ground service arranged in advance, it may cause inevitable troubles, including delays in fuel or potable water services, missing ground transportation of crew members, or wrong in-flight dining orders. Ground handling personnels who are more accustomed to regular scheduled commercial airlines may make mistakes on the ramp. The local agent will meet all the requirements for you. Most importantly, we maintain a good working relationship with the authorities to speed up the service as possible and comply

Keep in mind that every airport in China is various

If you have a trip to several cities in China, you will see that the arrival and departure procedures at each airport are not always the same.. Customs, immigration and quarantine (CIQ) procedures may be different from what you are accustomed to other regions. For instance, you may experience delays in customs clearance at some airports. The way passengers enter and exit the airport varies from place to place. In some major cities, such as Shanghai (ZSSS and ZSPD), Beijing (ZBAA), Guangzhou (ZGGG) and Shenzhen (ZGSZ), passengers can luxuriously pass through FBO. However, in more remote places, you will use the VIP lounge or through GAT. Most of the traffic to China

    Pre-arranged aircraft fuel uplifting

Most airports in China do not approve credit cards, butabout 98% of airports all over the country can offer fuel credit through us. It is usually not a problem to arrange aircraft fuel delivery in advance. However, fuel vehicles may be very busy during rush hours, especially in smaller locations.

It is not suggested to handle it by yourself in China

For most airports in China, you could not handle it by yourself or get the services you need (fueling, toilet services, etc.). Although China’s ground handling service and infrastructure continue to improve (the ground service process of most airports has generally become very streamlined), there still exists language barriers, credit problems and airport agreements to be considered. We recommend that you use experienced ground handlers who can confirm everything (aviation fuel uplifting, flight plan details and flight slots) before flight operation.

Expect that FBOs and GATs may be different from what you are used to

In China, FBO or GAT may look more like an airline terminal than FBO. However, in China, supportive infrastructure and access are rapidly improving. In recent years, almost all major airports in China have opened up a full-service FBO

Take China as a fuel tech stop

Several operators consider China as a fuel tech station. No visa is required. A crew member is allowed to get off the plane to assist with refueling. As long as everything is arranged well in advance, the transfer time is usually within an hour. We recommend that you ask your local agent to confirm the fuel vehicle in advance. Although the price of aviation fuel in China has risen in the past few years, the cost is still reasonable and acceptable. Please remember that not all Chinese airports approve aircraft for fuel tech stops, and some airports have strict time regulations. It is recommended to work with experienced third-party
